Hey Adam!
I hope you read this because after what I read this morning about how you felt about Susan Boyle's CD really disturbed me. I honestly thought you were a bigger person than what I read about. But perhaps it was mis quoted... I hope so.
Being gay myself does not really make any difference, except you would hope that your would have a little more compassion and understanding for others around you. I also believe that in this country we have the right to say what we feel...but when you are in the public eye, as you are, I would think you would think before you speak to make sure that it would not offend anyone. With these comments you could lose a big fan base, plus anyone who was interested in you at all could be really turned off completely.
Her CD is not as awful as you said it was....Her voice is pure and sweet, granted they are not all #1 hits nor are they Rock & Roll Classics, but she is expressing herself, the same way you are. Being that your CD's came out at the same time, Adam have a little class...it makes you sound pathetic and jealous.
I think the world of you and love your music, but lay off your criticizing others, work on the longevity of your career and do it with some class. I am hoping that your image is more than another burnt out Drama Queen.
