http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainme...E54L6LZ20090522 LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert's performance with rock band Queen on the finale of the TV singing contest this week has the British band thinking about a new front man. "Amongst all that furor, there wasn't really a quiet moment to talk," Queen guitarist Brian May told Rolling Stone in an interview released on Friday. "But and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there," May told the magazine in an e-mail exchange. Queen, one of the biggest rock bands of the 1970s and '80s, has not had a permanent frontman since the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991. The English band recently ended a four-year partnership with Paul Rodgers, the former lead singer in the bands Free and Bad Company. Lambert, 27, dubbed "Glambert" by fans, lost out in the "American Idol" final to Kris Allen. But his vocal skills and flair for the dramatic made him a good fit for performances with both Queen and glam rockers KISS in the show's finale on Wednesday. May seemed comfortable about the role of "American Idol" as a launch pad for a career in the rock world. "If you have enough talent and enough will to succeed, you will get there by whatever route presents itself," he wrote Rolling Stone. "Once you have scaled the castle walls, with the sword in your hand, it matters little how you got there. I've not always been positive about shows like this but there is no doubt that it offers a door to some real genuine talent along the way." That performance was AMAZING. When they did the split-screen, I nearly wet my pants. I still couldn't believe at that point that Adam was performing with them!! |

I really don't think Danny (or Kris, for that matter) would appreciate their fans coming onto another contestant's fansite to bash them. Or even bashing them anywhere on the internet. It's childish and petty. |

Just came on here and was going to post this The one part I loved... QUOTE Ten minutes later, Lambert stands up and stomps a single snakeskin boot: "All right, we're done. Let's go shopping." After a trip of a few blocks by car, Lambert and stylist Miles Siggins walk freely through the posh Beverly Center mall. No one stops the Idol finalist. This is L.A., and Lambert isn't yet A-list. Inside the hip-with-cash store Traffic, Lambert and Siggins fall in love with a faded denim shirt by Dolce & Gabbana. At $695, it comes close to his two-song budget of $800. Not that that would stop Lambert. "He's broken Taylor Hicks' record for spending the most out of your own pocket," Siggins says, laughing. "And I'm not telling you by how much." Lambert says the white suit he wore to sing the Rat Pack-era tune Feeling Good cost $1,700. "But in this competition, the visual is as important as the voice," he says. "I'll spend what I have to." Says Siggins: "Adam's my modern-day David Bowie." With that, the two are off to admire a sandblasted pair of jeans from Hysteric Glamour for $855. "I love this," whispers Lambert. In the end, though, nothing makes Lambert's cut, and he moves on to other stores. Gotta love Adam <3 haha |

Very true Mayshan. The problem is, Adam is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. People who dislike him or are looking for reasons to dislike him, will read into comments like the ones he made last night and say he was being fake and not meaning what he said. If he never mentioned Kris and Danny and only commented on what the judges said, people would be saying he's full of himself and disregarded his other fellow competitors. One was very well done. I enjoyed it a lot. I would've enjoyed Cryin more if the egotistical back-up singer had toned it down a few notches. She nearly destroyed the performance! Thankfully Adam's voice is strong, and still managed to overpower her. |

The runner-ups don't have to wait until the winner releases an album. Daughtry released their album before Taylor Hicks did. Whoever wins AI is under a tighter leash than everyone else, and yes they are controlled. It would be better for Adam to not win it, as then he could release whatever he wants instead of satisfying the AI producers. However, Adam WANTS to win, so we should be voting for him regardless. |

*is a fan of Adam on Facebook too* teeheeeeeee It's so ridiculous that Hokey-Pokey-Gokey has the second highest amount of fans. Kris is eons more talented than him. Of course our Glambert is #1.. sigh <3 |

Ryan said numerous times last night that the order that they were told they were safe in, was a RANDOM order. Kris wasn't necessarily the highest vote-getter. Danny might not have been in the bottom two. I believe it went Adam, Danny, Kris, and then Allison. After Danny's horrible performance this week, I think they saved him for last with Allison to give hope to people like me that wanted to see him go home. Danny definitely needs to go next week. I am so sick of him.... although as much as I can't stand him, I will give him points for admitting his performance was bad and laugh-worthy. |

That was a fantastic performance. Simon was right, nobody did top that. He looked so happy and comfortable up there too (not that he ever looks nervous) but he seemed to really be in his element tonight. Loved the duet as well! Their voices go together well. |

QUOTE I'm just not quite sure how to take your comment, "Well, YOU all got a wake up call last night...." I don't want to think you're a hater, but if you were an Adam fan, I would have thought you would have said, "Well, WE all got a wake up call last night." Am I over analyzing this? I hope so. I'm certainly NOT a hater, why in hell would I be here (with an Adam avatar & banner, to boot) if I was a hater? Good lord.. I didn't get a wake up call, because I can't vote. I was pointing out the people who, while assuming Adam was safe, voted for Allison or Matt to help keep them on the show. THEY are the ones who got the wake up call. Many just thought, "Whatever, no way Adam will go home if I vote for Allison tonight." Well, too many people did that, and look what happened... THEY are the ones that need to realize that voting for him IS important, because we are getting down to the wire here and with only 4 contestants left, it's more crucial than ever... |

When Jamie Foxx was onstage after his performance, Ryan asked him, "So, do you think America got the bottom two right?" Adam WAS in the bottom two. He's not invincible. You have to realize that all of Lil and Anoop's fans moved on to someone else, someone who has a similar style to them. Obviously not Adam. Everyone just assumed he was safe, and voted for someone else. This is Adam Lambert, no way he's going home! Well, you all got a wake up call last night.... |

I liked it styled up for If I Can't Have You, the mowhawk looked awesome (and hot..haha). However, when he's gonna style it down again it's not going to be as long as before and I really liked it when he had bangs to swish out of his face Regardless, I think he could shave his head and still look good... |

Hahaha, when all 7 walked out on stage, my mom actually asked me, "Where's Adam?" I had to point out that he was the one in the suit and his hair was styled up tonight. She's not used to seeing him like that (she never saw his Tracks of My Tears performance) and was surprised. I thought he looked absolutely delicious. Rawr. And what an Adam thing to do to go stand with the crowd before his performance! Haha, lucky bishes. I'm YouTubing the original song now, I didn't recognize it when Adam sang it last night so I'm curious as to how much he changed it. |

During his audition Simon said he was a bit too theatrical, and then during BTBW he said it would be "love it or hate it", and for Ring of Fire he said that "half of America will be throwing their TV's out the window after hearing that" - but it wasn't for his vocals, it was for the arrangement. That's it, I think... pretty impressive considering. Especially when every contestent has their BAD week, y'know? Adam's been impressing since Day 1. btw, am I the only one that waits for Adam's .1 second shot when they do the American Idol commercials? "Danny, Allison, Kris, Matt, ADAM.." haha, I'm a DORK. But he always looks the coolest when he sings... |

Absolutely FABULOUS performance. Wow, I don't even know what to say, honestly. Paula was right when she said he poured all his emotions into that. The look in his eyes was so raw. God, I love this man! |

Anyone notice how much shorter it gets every week? I miss the Satisfaction days It's so short now that in the new pics he's actually got it styled UP... do you think it's his decision or the hair stylists for the show doing it? |

Good for him! I love how he is handling the whole situation, it makes me admire him even more. AI is a singing competition, it's about who's the best performer... not who has the most acceptable lifestyle. |
